KIA EV5 Price in Pakistan, New Features & Specifications

The Pakistan Auto Show (2024) is underway, and the launch of the new cars has begun. One of the main cars to be revealed is KIA‘s highly anticipated electric car, the KIA EV5. In this article, we will share with you the KIA EV5 price in Pakistan, performance, interior, exterior, and safety features of this car. So let’s start with the KIA EV5 price in Pakistan.

The company announced two variants of the new entrant: Kia EV5 AIR (short range) and EV5 EARTH (long range).

KIA EV5 Price in Pakistan

With a battery capacity between 64 and 88 kWh, this vehicle is not just about looks; it is designed to be eco-friendly as well. For those considering going electric, the Kia EV5 price in Pakistan is Rs. 23,500,000 for the top-of-the-line model KIA EV5 EARTH and Rs. 18,500,000 for KIA EV5 AIR.

• KIA EV5 EARTH: Rs. 23,500,000

It’s the perfect choice for city drivers who want to contribute to a greener environment. With a top speed of 185 km/h and stylish 225/60/R18 tires, the Kia EV5 has made its mark on Pakistani roads.

KIA EV5 Engine, Motor and Performance

The KIA EV5 AIR variant has the engine placement at the front, while the KIA EV5 EARTH has both rear and front engines. If we talk about maximum power, the AIR produces 160 Kw, while the EARTH engines generate a combined power of 230 Kw. In terms of torque, the short-range variant produces 310 Nm against the long-range variant’s 480 Nm.

If we talk about maximum speed, both cars go up to 185 kilometers per hour. Additionally, the KIA EV5 AIR is 2WD and the KIA EV5 EARTH is AWD. Now let’s talk about the 0-100 of both variants; the base achieves this in 8.5 seconds, while the top in 6.5 seconds.

Last but not least, the AIR All-Electric Range (AER + NEDC) is 490 kilometers/charge, while the KIA EV5 EARTH’s range is 620 kilometers.

Charging Time (Normal & Fast) 

The AIR variant has a 6.6 Kw charger (single-phase) with a charging time of approx. 9 hours 43 minutes (10-100%), with the top variant having an 11 Kw (three-phase) charger with a charging time of 8 hours. (10-100%).

Meanwhile, with a fast charger (50Kw), the charging time of the AIR (10-80%) is around 57 minutes, while the EARTH variant completes it in 72 minutes with the same charger. Additionally, a 350kw charger will complete an AIR charge in about 36 minutes, and EARTH can do it in about 36 minutes.

KIA EV5 Exterior

• Both variants feature LED headlamps (MFR) with LED daytime running lights (DRL) and LED tail lamps.
• Other standard features on both variants are electric folding mirrors, heated and electric mirror adjustment, rear high-mounted brake light, and solar glass (windscreen, rear windows, front door glass, and tailgate).
• The panoramic sunroof in the KIA EV5 EARTH variant is one-touch (power), which is not offered in the AIR variant. Electric opening of the luggage compartment lid is also only offered in the top variant.
• The aluminum wheel in the basic variant is 18 inches compared to 19 inches in the top variant.

KIA EV5 Interior

• The AIR seat cover is made of fabric and artificial leather, as opposed to the artificial leather (monochrome) of the top variant.
• Both feature cruise control, USB charger (front compartment), Drive Model shifter, 8-way power driver’s seat with 4-way power lumbar support, and power-dimming rearview mirror (auto-dimming).
• Other features of the top variant are heated and ventilated (front), premium relaxation seat with footrests (driver), ambient mode, massaging seat (driver), and wireless charger.
• Both have electric power steering, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a tire mobility kit, and four driving modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, and Snow).
• AIR and EARTH have AM/FM radio, DAB digital radio, a 6-speaker sound system, and an integrated panoramic display (12.3-inch digital driver panel + 5-inch climate monitor + 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen).
• Head-Up Display is another feature in the KIA EV5 EARTH variant.

KIA EV5 Safety Features

Standard safety features in both variants are ABS, EBD + brake assist (BA), electronic stability control (ESC), traction control system (TCS), hill start assist (HAC), hill descent control (DBC), multi-collision brakes (MCB), electronic parking brake (EPB), rear view monitor (RVM) with parking guidance, and six airbags.

Other safety features in the EARTH variant are Driving Assist, BCA warning system, blind spot mirror, collision parking assist (reversing), fingerprint verification, anti-theft immobilizer, and FCA 2.0 warning system.
