Important Changes You Must Know About
By amending the Danish Aliens Act from 1 April 2023, the Danish government hopes to attract skilled workers and foreign students by:
- Lowering minimum salary requirements
- Expansion of fast-track scheme for work permits
- Extended post-study stay
Denmark Work Visa: Important Changes
Before the last work visa changes, only those with a minimum salary of 465,000 Danish kroner could apply for a work permit. It has now been reduced to 375,000. This means that more people can get a work permit in Denmark.
Before the recent changes, Danish companies with at least 20 working days were entitled to hire foreign workers through the fast track. However, this requirement has now been reduced to 10 full-time working days, and even small companies can hire foreign workers on a fast track.
