Ramadan 2024: Tips You Should Follow To Stay Healthy

Healthy Ramadan

The holy month of Ramadan is not only about fasting. This month is important for Muslims to reflect on themselves and develop a deep relationship with God. Charity is another important aspect of Ramadan.

With Ramadan just around the corner, we thought we’d share some tips to help you stay healthy this month. So, let’s discuss the best healthy tips without any delay:

Eat Healthy

Eating processed, fried, and junk food is common during Ramadan, but if you want to be healthy, leave these habits behind. It’s okay to enjoy these foods occasionally, but not every day. Try to eat a balanced diet with nutritious foods such as vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts, meat, and more, and avoid high-fat and fried foods, which can be dangerous for your health. Instead, you can buy an air fryer, which is a safer option.

Don’t Skip Sehri

Although many people find it convenient, skipping this meal is not exactly healthy because it provides the energy you need to function throughout the day.
Some foods that you can add to your sehri or suhoor are oats, yogurt, fruits, rice, whole grains, etc. In addition to this, you can also choose high-fiber cereal products.

Stay Hydrated

Staying hydrated is important during Ramadan. You should drink at least 10–12 glasses of water from Iftar to Sehri because it will prevent your body from getting dehydrated. You can also eat foods rich in water, like vegetables and fruits.
Tip: Yogurt does the trick too. It also keeps you hydrated, and you don’t feel thirsty during the day. This tip has been tested and works very well.

Physical Activity

We believe that physical activity is not limited to Ramadan but loses its importance during this month. People lose energy from fasting every day, which makes them sluggish. We don’t want you to have very strenuous exercise, but a simple walk in the park, a game of badminton after breaking the fast, etc. will do the job.

Good Sleep

Most of us neglect our sleep, thinking that waking up late in Ramadan will make up for lost sleep, which is not true. A good night’s sleep is the best idea.
