Hajj 2025: Now Get Pakistani Passport in Just 24 Hours

Pakistani Passport: Hajj 2025

Hajj 2025: As part of measures for Hajj pilgrims, the government yesterday announced an expedited passport service that will make it easier for pilgrims to obtain passports within 24 hours. The service was announced by Passports CEO Mustafa Jamal Qazi to facilitate preparations for the holy journey to Mecca.

Special Counter for Hajj Applicants

Special counters for Hajj pilgrims will be opened at the Directorate General and all regional passport offices across Pakistan. This facility will also be available at Pakistan passport offices abroad so that pilgrims from all over the world can benefit from it. According to Qazi, pilgrims will be favored and given preferential treatment, and passport delivery will be done within a day.

The development is likely to benefit thousands of intending pilgrims who have faced delays in passport issuance in previous years, especially during the busy Hajj season.

Complementary Measures for Hajj 2025

In addition, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has also introduced other programs to streamline the Hajj process for Pakistani nationals. Programs include:

Hajj 2025 Application Process:

  • It has also started applications for the Hajj season 2025. Applications for the pilgrimage can be submitted at 15 banks in different regions of the country until December 3, 2024.
  • A quota of 89,605 pilgrims is allotted under the government’s Hajj scheme. The submission requires applicants to submit an amount of Rs 200,000 along with their applications.
  • On December 6, 2024, a computer draw will be held to determine the final list of selected pilgrims.

Cost-effective Travel Solutions

  • The Ministry successfully negotiated a reduction in the price of air tickets for Hajj pilgrims. Each pilgrim will now pay $800 instead of $850, saving $50 per ticket.
  • The reduction will also affect flights operated by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Saudi Airlines, which serve 70,000 pilgrims.

Flexible Repayment Plans

  • Apart from this, to provide relief to the pilgrims, the government has also introduced an installment mechanism. The additional payment must be paid by 1-10 February 2025.
  • An amount in the range of Rs. 1,075,000 to Rs. 1,175,000 is charged for the Government Hajj Scheme. In addition, additional charges are charged for other services such as Qurbani and Makkah Darul Aman.

Why This Matters?

The Hajj is a sacred journey to Mecca for many Pakistanis, and many can only make it once in their lifetime. Its preparation is a task in itself due to financial and bureaucratic obstacles. However, the government tried to ease preparations by providing a fast-track passport service and reducing travel costs. It will ensure that financial or logistical obstacles do not hinder this sacred journey of pilgrims.

How to Avail the 24-Hour Passport Service (Hajj 2025)

Those intending to apply for expedited passport service must:

  • Visit the nearest regional passport office or headquarters.
  • You must have all the documents, including a copy of the Hajj application confirmation.
  • Use dedicated Hajj counters to get priority processing facilities.

For applicants outside Pakistan, similar facilities would also be available at Pakistani passport issuing offices abroad.

Conclusion (Hajj 2025)

Hajj 2025: This 24-hour passport project fully affirms the government’s commitment to ensure a seamless Hajj experience for Pakistani pilgrims. Reduced airfares, installment payment options, and easy application processes will all help make Hajj preparation easy and hassle-free for many pilgrims embarking on a special spiritual journey.
