Passport Fee in Pakistan have Increased Now!
We have some news that is not good for people who want to go abroad. The government has slightly increased passport fee in Pakistan, especially for people who need ASAP (Fast Track Category) passports. Let’s have a look at what’s changed now!
New Passport Fee in Pakistan
Well, here’s the updated fee structure for Fast Track applications (local):
Passport Pages | Fee for 5 Years Validity | Fee for 10 Years Validity |
MRP (36 pages) | Rs.12,500 | Rs.16,200 |
MRP (72 pages) | Rs.18,500 | Rs.25,200 |
MRP (100 pages) | Rs.23,000 | Rs.32,000 |
As you know, these new fees are effective May 8, 2024.
So why does it multiply? Govt. Officials said they used to charge a fee for regular and express passports, but they quickly went out of service for the fast track. Now they are all in line.
Here is also some good news. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced that Karachi and Lahore will get 24/7 passport services (for dedicated passport offices). This means you don’t have to worry about fitting into the passport office visit schedule. Finally, there is little convenience in the passport world.
