How to Register

After signing up or logging into the DIRBS portal, overseas Pakistanis can temporarily register their mobile phones by selecting “Individual – Pak (Travelled on Visa)” or “Individual – Foreigner”, depending on their nationality/status. The portal then asks for a passport number, entry stamp info (arrival date),  mobile number, and email address.

After that, click on “Apply for COC (Certificate of Compliance)” and select “Temporary Registration for Overseas Pakistani.” Enter the phone’s IMEI number, which you can check by dialing #06# or find on the phone’s original packaging.

Submit the application after providing any necessary documents. If you are eligible, PTA registers your phone free of cost for up to 120 days.

Conclusion

Under this initiative, temporary visitors can register their personal mobile devices for a period of up to 120 days during each visit to Pakistan.

According to a PTA news release, the user-friendly system also aims to ensure uninterrupted mobile connectivity, enabling smooth and reliable communication for travelers throughout their stay.

Earlier, the PTA, in collaboration with PTCL and private companies announced deploying free Wi-Fi hotspots for six months at HEC-recognized selected universities, including women’s universities, to empower students with improved access to digital resources.
