Suzuki Wagon R Discontinued: In the latest development, Suzuki Pakistan has suspended Suzuki Wagon R. The once quite popular hatchback in Pakistan, the Wagon R, has finally discontinued. This suspension is effective from March 11, 2025. So if you were planning to buy a Wagon R in booking, you may need to go for the Suzuki Wagon R used one.

Are you wondering why the company has permanently suspended Suzuki Wagon R bookings? The official reason is still not reached, but if you ask me, there may be several reasons.

Why Suzuki Wagon R Discontinued

The first reason might be that Suzuki Wagon R sales have seen a significant decline in recent years compared to their peak after the launch of this popular hatchback in Pakistan in 2014. Another reason for this suspension could be the introduction of its newer generation in Pakistan. Do you remember that the previous generation of Suzuki Swift was suspended in 2021, and the newer generation was introduced in 2022? The same can happen to the Wagon R also. One of the company dealerships also said that the company could introduce a newer generation next year, but there is no confirmation at the moment.

Suddenly, one can think about which car will fill the gap in this price range. Good! Suzuki dominates the hatchback category in Pakistan. So people who want to buy the top variant Suzuki Wagon R (VXL AGS) will now have the basic variant of Suzuki’s Cultus in this price range, and people who want to buy the basic variant of the car could go for the upgraded version of Alto VXL-AGS, depending on their requirements.

The total sales of the company do not have to be affected by this suspension. Now, the wait begins for the next-generation Wagon R.
