Best Cars in the Price of Toyota Corolla: Globally, the Corolla is considered a rough and tough family car for the middle class. Really, it’s an amazing car, and there’s nothing wrong with it. Especially in Pakistan, it is the most popular car in the market. The hinges are super strong; the engine is durable (300K, no problem); cabin space is good; and parts availability is also good for this model.

The problem with this car is its price. Toyota has the nerve to charge a whopping 5.9 million for the base variant, while the top variant will set you back 7.5 million. And don’t forget that it’s the 11th generation Corolla, while the world is on the facelifted 12th generation Corolla.

At that price, it’s not a good deal anymore. So let’s take a look at the best cars in the price of Toyota Corolla and what we have on the used market, which are at least bargains.

Honda City Aspire 1.5L CVT 2021 New Generation

Price: 38-43 lacs

There are some compromises on the Honda City compared to the Toyota Corolla, but remember that this Honda City will cost you 15 lacs less. Add taxes and duties, and it will be 20 lacs cheaper than the base variant of the Corolla, which is a manual.

Toyota Aqua X 2018

The Aqua X is also a good alternative if you don’t mind a hatchback in that Rs. 6 million budget. First, it’s an HEV, so the Aqua can’t be compared to the Corolla, which is an NA. Second, when it comes to features, the Aqua blows the Corolla out of the water in every aspect.

It has all the controls, like HAC, TC, and VSA, which Corolla’s Manual 1.6 X doesn’t have; alloy wheels while Corolla has steel ones; fog lights, which Corolla doesn’t have; CVT; and 22 Kmpl economy.

Not only that, looks wise, ride comfort is better than Toyota Corolla, and power delivery is also quite good than that sedan.

The only problem you may encounter is changing the HEV batteries. But if it’s a 2017 model or newer, if the vehicle was cared for by the previous owner, you may find good battery life.

Honda Civic 1.8L Oriel 2019

Toyota Corolla, known for fuel economy; Civic is a gas guzzler; Corolla is known for its reliability; Civic is a very responsive car; Corolla is known for its stiff suspension; Honda Civic has a very responsive suspension; Corolla is known for its harsh ride; and Civic is known for its excellent handling.

Instead of the 6.5 million Toyota Corolla, however, the 2019 Civic is a good deal. Only its economy is not good; otherwise, the Civic is a great car for everyday driving around town and even a great family car for long trips.

KIA Stonic EX 2023

The Kia Stonic is another good car if you don’t mind a five million hatchback. The main thing is that it has a sunroof, all the controls like HSA, TC, VSA, and six airbags.

Second, when it comes to the interior, it’s much sportier than the Corolla, and the yellow accents on the center console make the Genz look even slimmer. This car with a 1.4-liter engine also offers alloy wheels, projector headlamps, DRL, spoiler, air conditioning, and a jump starter, which the Corolla does not have.

So if you don’t mind a hatchback in this budget, this Stonic is definitely the car for you! The Corolla 1.6X Manual is a brand new and proper sedan, but it can’t compete with the Stonic’s features. Toyota would charge you 7 million for all the goodies the Stonic offers, and the interior looks better than the Corolla.

Honda Vezel 2015 – 2017

Best Cars in the Price of Toyota Corolla: The Honda Vezel is a small HEV crossover also made in Japan. It’s an excellent car if you are looking for cabin space, built quality, and the best fuel economy. Although it’s a 2015 model, the design language and cabin look still better than many crossovers in the local market.

As an HEV, it achieves an economy of 22 km/l in the city and 12-15 on the highway. Air conditioning performance is good and has dual zone climate control and leather seats with a soft leather-covered dashboard.

In addition, it is a proper crossover with alloy rims and CVT transmission, which the basic version of the Corolla does not offer.
