About PESCO

PESCO stands for Peshawar Electricity Supply Company. The Peshawar District Electricity Board was converted into a legal entity of the same name known as the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) for business purposes and further privatization. PESCO provides electricity distribution services to more than 2.6 million customers in all urban areas of Pakistan. Understanding PESCO Online Bill

Here’s a list of common taxes you’ll usually find on a PESCO online bill:

FPA

FPA stands for Fuel Price Adjustment. The FPA rate on your PESCO bill refers to the fuel cost of the rental power company that produces electricity from petroleum, and you can see this amount on your bill when fuel prices change.

TR Surcharge

T.R stands for Tariff Rationalization Surcharge. Here is the difference between NEPRA and GOP rates. If the difference is positive, it will be paid as a “subsidy” by the GOP. But in case of a negative difference, the distribution company will pay the GOP an “Inter DISCO Tariff Rationalization Surcharge (IDTR SUR)”.

FC Surcharge

FC stands for finance charge. Officials have decided to charge Power Holding Private Limited 43 paise per unit as FC surcharge to collect debt service.

Deferred Amount

This is a deferred amount that must be paid in the same month or later, depending on your choice. There are no late payment fees for deferred accounts, and the amount can be paid in full or in installments on your next payment.

QTR Tariff Adj./DMC

This is the amount of the quarterly adjustments. You will see this amount on your invoice every 3 months.

PESCO Peak Hours

PESCO recommends reducing the use of electricity during peak hours, which will help reduce the amount of electricity and stabilize the electricity supply to the whole region. Here are PESCO’s peak hours:

From April to October6:30 PM to 10:30 PM
From November to March6 PM to 10 PM
