Apple Launches New iPhone 15, Watch Series 9 & Watch Ultra 2
The biggest annual technology event of the year has ended, and it ended as expected with release of four new models of iPhone 15 and two Apple smart watches – Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2. Sorry to gadgets lovers, there is no New or updated Vision Pro this time, as Apple’s CEO stated that the spatial computing headset will be released in early 2024.

iPhone 15 & iPhone 15 Plus
The standard iPhone 15 retains its starting price of $799 and includes features from last year’s iPhone 14 Pro. This includes:
- A16 Bionic chipset
- 48MP main camera
- Dynamic Island cutout to replace the front display notch
- Improvements in Portrait mode, Night mode, and Smart HDR
- Displays will be brighter compared to the iPhone 14 models
Notably, the iPhone 15 ditches the Lightning port in favor of a USB-C port.

The only difference between the two is the display size. You’ll pay $100 more for the larger display on the iPhone 15 Plus.
iPhone 15 Pro & iPhone 15 Pro Max
The iPhone Pro has seen significant changes, including the adoption of USB-C connectivity. The phone is now powered by the A17 Pro chip, which offers improved speed, efficiency and gaming capabilities compared to the A16 Bionic.
When it comes to camera upgrades, the Pro model has improved imaging like the iPhone 15, and a larger main sensor. The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a new telephoto lens with a tetra-prism design that allows for 5x optical zoom.
The new Pro models have a lighter titanium frame, replacing the stainless steel frame of the iPhone 14 Pro, and they also have an action button that replaces the silent switch.

Apple Watch Series 9
Apple’s new smartwatch, the Apple Watch Series 9, is equipped with a performance-enhancing S9 SiP chip. The device now has Siri, an improved U2 infrared chip for precise positioning, and a brighter display.
One of the unique features is double tap, where you can double tap your finger and thumb to control different apps. This feature also allows you to easily manage calls, manage notifications and more.
In addition, due to its environmentally friendly changes, the Apple Watch 9 has the distinction of being Apple’s first carbon neutral product.
The Apple Watch Series 9 is also similar to the Series 8, with prices starting at $399 for the 41mm GPS model and $499 for GPS + cellular. The 45mm version starts at $429 and goes up to $529 for the cellular. There are also two other models: the Apple Watch Ultra 2 for $799 and the Apple Watch SE (2022), which starts at $249.
Apple Watch Ultra 2
Additional hardware seen in the Apple Watch 9 is also carried over to the Apple Watch Ultra 2, including the use of the S9 chip. In addition, the Ultra 2 has a screen that can reach a brightness of 3000 nits and supports a wider elevation range
The main difference between Apple Watch 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 is the price. The Apple Watch 9 starts at $399, the Ultra 2 costs $799, and only comes in an LTE-capable configuration for the same price.
