NADRA Introduces New Facility For Masses in Pakistan
The National Database and Registration Office (NADRA) introduced new mass facilities. According to the details, citizens throughout Pakistan can now deposit funds on more than 50 banks via Nadra E-Sahulat on the basis of an agreement between NADRA Technologies Limited and 1Link.
The agreement ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor of State Bank of Pakistan Saleemullah and chairman of NADRA. With this initiative, more than 9,000 e-Sahulat franchises will offer a nationwide service and ensure biometric verification of depositors.
According to the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), this step will improve the availability of financial services and expand the scope of digital banking in the country.

Previously, the National Database and Registration Office explained that biometric verification problems are not caused by its system.
As per NADRA representative, this identity verification using the “Verisys” system is provided to all financial institutions. And all banks and financial institutions in Pakistan can use these NADRA services, as needed.
The National Authority for the Database and Registration also stated that in cooperation with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the Pakistani telecommunications office (PTA), it is introducing the system to verify the facial recognition.
After completion of the process, this device will be made available to all banks and telecommunications operations, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) office said.
