Conclusion (Suzuki Bike Prices in Pakistan)
The official reason for this latest price increase is not yet known. Although it seems appropriate due to the increase in bank rates since the last amendment for GD 110S & GS 150 on 9th May 2023, the rate of increase in rates does not seem appropriate. This is because the dollar value is around PKR 288 on 01 October 2023 compared to PKR 285 on 09 May 2023 (latest price increase for GD 110S & GS 150). The difference is only about 1%, but the price increases about 5%, raising the concern of fairness.
Suzuki has held off on raising the prices of the revised GD 110S and GS 150 models last month. It is important to note that sales of Suzuki motorcycles have been declining every year. Consumers are reacting negatively to what they see as unfair price increases, and this has affected sales. LC problems and the closure of Suzuki factories due to reduced demand added to the woes. This factor is expected to hurt sales in the coming days.
