Heavy Vehicle Entry In Islamabad (Schedule)
Heavy vehicles will be prohibited from entering the capital city from March 17 to March 23 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 am, according to the Islamabad Traffic Police spokesperson. This proactive measure aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve security during the preparations for the grand parade.

Alternate Routes
Apart from the ban on heavy vehicles, alternative routes have been designated to divert traffic, especially from Lahore. Vehicles leaving Lahore will now be diverted via Rawalpindi Sadar Road to Peshawar GT Road and Expressway, simplifying travel and reducing bottlenecks on major routes.
Alternative routes have been established from Khanna Bridge, Lehtrar Road and Park Road to facilitate entry into Islamabad for vehicles coming from Koral Chowk and Rawalpindi.
To accommodate the light traffic, the Highway Police has introduced alternate routes from Kashmir Chowk to Barakahu and Murre, creating an additional option for commuters.
Also, as part of the traffic management plan, Faizabad will remain closed for all types of vehicles. Residents are encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement officials and follow instructions to ensure the effectiveness of these traffic management measures.
